Beginner Flower Pressing
Using nature's beauty for home decor and gifts
Thursday, May 8 and Thursday, May 15, 6:00-7:30 pm
FAIR School, 3725 Pilgrim Lane North, Plymouth, MN
Pressing flowers is a method of preserving flowers by drying them and flattening them into a paper-thin state, allowing them to be displayed or used in various crafts and art projects. It's a way to keep the beauty of flowers alive and can be used to create keepsakes or art pieces. This class will allow you to create beautiful, unique pieces of art from nature, even if you have no prior experience with flower pressing. You'll leave this class with your own flower press, crafted item, additional materials, and inspiration to continue preserving Minnesota's flowers all summer.
Session 1: Make your own flower press and fill it with spring blooms.
Session 2: Use your pressed flowers to create a unique candle, jar, or frame.
